Collaboration with Wild Tribe Heroes!

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with The Wild Tribe Heroes, a collection of children's books highlighting the relationship between humans and wildlife. They are the true stories of animals that find themselves in trouble when their lives are affected by pollution, deforestation and climate change. They are for children and adults, and have a powerful message of how humans can help stop the loss of biodiversity.

Wild Tribe Heroes

Why the collaboration? Like the human characters in the Wild Tribe books, we at HomeRun want to help preserve the natural environment. And like the books, we want to help people make positive changes in their lives and in their communities.

We believe a sustainable school run, where parents are given different options of how to get their children to school - whether that’s journey sharing using public transport, bikes or cars - is a good way to reduce car-use, preserve the natural environment, and cut carbon emissions.

Ellie Jackson, the author of the books, was an environmental scientist who taught geography until she decided the best way to teach children about environmental issues was through story books. Since writing her first one in 2017, her books have been read by nearly 2 million parents and children worldwide, including Sir David Attenborough and King Charles.

Wildflower seeds

And so we’ve come together, and will be giving book sets and wild-flower seeds to our primary school and nursery partners. We are also planning a book collaboration, with the main character being affected by air pollution. We don’t want to give any more away yet, but the whisper is (spoiler alert) the main character might be a fox… Now all we need to come up with is a name, any suggestions?
